Responsibilities:
- Oversee all food production (for both on-premise sales for our properties and off-premise for wholesale) to ensure that items are consistently prepared according to the recipes and quality standards.
- Manage prime cost (production labor + materials) of all in-house food products through efficient production practices, inventory management, supply chain management, and waste control.
- Package and label bakery products according to quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized bakery display, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment according to all safety regulations.
- Track and record daily production numbers.
- Handle, store and rotate all products properly.
- Maintain and control inventory and supply of kitchen ingredients and dry goods.
- Develop and manage a capable team of kitchen production staff. This will include, but is not limited to, hiring, training in production, safety, and sanitation, continued education, and disciplinary action.
- Schedule labor as required to ensure labor cost objectives and production needs are met.
- Maintain a productive and enjoyable work environment for all team members.
Qualifications:
- Food preparation and management experience is required.
- Must be an effective manager and an good team leader.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn and follow recipes precisely.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
