About the Position:
We are seeking an entry-level legal assistant to assist new matter intake and document preparation in our high-volume landlord-tenant practice. This is an entry level position with no prior law office experience required. The position is full-time, 9:00 to 5:30 Monday through Friday at our downtown Seattle office, with the option for partial remote work after a 90 day trial/training period. Your primary responsibility will be data entry and generating routine notices and other legal documents as well as written client communications.
Responsibilities:
- Opening new matter files;
- Preparing pre-litigation tenant notices and other legal documents;
- Reviewing documents to ensure an accurate and consistent work product;
- Tracking existing client’s matters from matter intake to delivery to process servers;
- Managing process server communications; and
- Electronic filing.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- A customer-service focused outlook;
- A familiarity with a virtual phone system, Microsoft Office suite, timekeeping and billing software, and basic office equipment;
- Experience in real estate or property management;
- An exceptional attention to detail;
- An associate's degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience;
- An initiative to take on additional responsibilities; and
- An interest in learning a new practice area and developing new skills.
