Trustpoint.One is enthusiastic to partner with a busy and respected immigration law firm in Philadelphia to help them hire a Legal Billing Specialist on a direct hire basis. This role is ideal for someone with a sharp eye for detail, great communication skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of billing with accuracy and efficiency. The firm offers a hybrid work schedule following an onboarding period, paid parking, and firm-paid medical insurance.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and process monthly billing in accordance with the firm’s policies and client-specific guidelines
- Print, review, and finalize pre-bills and invoices
- Execute complex billing arrangements (including fixed fees, discounts, split billing, and electronic invoicing)
- Respond to internal and client billing inquiries promptly and professionally
- Monitor invoice payments, follow up on outstanding balances, and assist with collections
- Maintain accurate client billing data, including rates, templates, addresses, and e-billing platforms
- Handle weekly bank deposits and reconcile payments in billing software
- Liaise with third-party software and payment processors to troubleshoot issues
- Provide updates on accruals, budgets, and outstanding balances
- Generate monthly reports and assist with special projects as needed
- Support the Billing Supervisor and broader accounting team as necessary
- Collect in-house consultation payments and process credit card transactions
What We’re Looking For:
- Associate degree with relevant experience required; bachelor’s degree or accounting coursework preferred
- Prior billing experience in a law firm or professional services environment is strongly preferred
- High attention to detail and ability to manage complex billing with accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and billing/accounting platforms
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle high volumes of billing
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, staff, and clients
