Are you a certified lifeguard with a passion for working with kids? Family Biz Kids is looking for a temporary Lifeguard who can also serve as an Assistant Counselor for our multi-age children's private event at the Newport Harbor Island Resort! Get ready to be part of a special summer gathering focused on fun water activities and engaging experiences for children of all ages.
We need you from Thursday morning, June 26 through Sunday early afternoon, June 29. Compensation for the event is $900 (approximately $45 per hour), and we'll even provide all meals. Lodging is also available upon request.
This isn't just about watching the water; you'll be an integral part of our team, ensuring the safety and fun of children during field trips involving water activities.
What you'll be doing:
- Ensuring the safety of children, youth, and staff in and around the water.
- Maintaining constant surveillance of children and youth in the water.
- Conducting daily safety inspections and reporting any hazards.
- Responding quickly and appropriately to emergencies and providing emergency care until medical services arrive.
- Communicating and enforcing all aquatic facility policies professionally.
- Remaining alert and attentive at all times.
- Working as a team with other Family Biz Kids staff.
- Representing Family Biz Kids with a professional attitude.
- Completing necessary records and reports (incident/accident, etc.).
- Attending all on-site staff meetings.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience working with children in a group setting.
- The ability to make sound judgments.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Must be 18 years of age or a high school graduate.
- The ability to lift 25 pounds.
Required Certifications:
- Federal Background Check (we can help facilitate if needed).
- American Red Cross Lifeguard certification with First Aid/CPR/AED.
