About the Role: Lifestyle Coordinator
As a Lifestyle Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting the health, happiness, and daily experience of the residents at Brio in Johnston.
As a Lifestyle Coordinator, you will:
Plan and lead engaging daily and special events that fulfill residents’ emotional, social, spiritual, and physical wellness, promoting vibrant and active living.
Collaborate with residents to co-create personalized programs, encouraging their input and participation to reflect their interests, hobbies, and lifestyles.
Offer meaningful one-on-one experiences, such as reading, letter writing, or crafts, especially for residents with limited mobility or who prefer individualized attention.
Coordinate exciting off-site outings and local experiences, and accompany or drive residents to social, cultural, or religious events to maintain community connection.
Build strong relationships with residents’ families to ensure personal preferences are understood and integrated into lifestyle planning, especially when communication is limited.
Partner with staff and volunteers to support a well-rounded, wellness-based lifestyle, including educational sessions, creative workshops, and community newsletters.
Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to quality improvement, helping shape a lifestyle program that evolves with resident needs and organizational goals.
Open Shifts Available:
- Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Qualifications:
- Four-year college degree in Recreation Therapy, Arts, Music or related field preferred. Activity and Long-term Care experience preferred.
- Solid computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel) and effectively and efficiently use the assigned medical documentation system.
- Ability to function effectively under changing circumstances and be flexible.
