Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Store Clerk to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring the store operates smoothly. This role requires a proactive attitude and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or answering inquiries.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for processing transactions accurately.
- Handle cash transactions, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including restocking shelves as needed.
- Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement and promote sales.
- Utilize effective phone etiquette to assist customers over the phone, addressing their needs promptly.
- Employ basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while providing value to customers.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain high standards of customer service.
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling practices is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with customers and team members.
