Burg Simpson is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join our Personal Injury team. The ideal candidate is a reliable team player with a friendly, positive attitude and a high level of professionalism that will play a key supporting role in ensuring that our clients are well served.
The position responsibilities include but are not limited to the support of Shareholder and senior-level attorneys in a pre-litigation and litigation environment; set-up and assisting with the maintenance of large electronic and paper files; request of medical, financial, and other case-related documents and records; electronic filing in both state and federal courts; calculate and calendar state and federal deadlines; scheduling of depositions, meetings, and hearings, travel; and direct client contact.
The position requires at least 3+ years of working in a litigation law firm, experience in identifying, calculating, and calendaring federal and state statutory deadlines; the ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines; be an exceptional listener and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing; be willing and able to problem-solve and recommend solutions; must have excellent attention to detail; and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

SALARY RANGE: $50,000 to $60,000+, salary within the range is commensurate with the candidate’s level of experience.
