Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of litigation processes within our law office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, legal drafting, and project management. This role requires exceptional clerical skills, proficiency in iManage for file management, and a keen eye for proofreading to ensure accuracy in all legal documents. The Litigation Manager will play a critical role in supporting attorneys and ensuring the smooth operation of the litigation department.
Responsibilities
- Manage the litigation process from inception to resolution, ensuring compliance with all legal procedures and deadlines.
- Organize and maintain case files using iManage, ensuring that all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, motions, and contracts to ensure clarity and compliance with legal standards.
- Collaborate with attorneys to develop case strategies and prepare for hearings, trials, and mediations.
- Coordinate project management tasks related to litigation cases, including scheduling meetings, managing timelines, and tracking progress.
- Provide clerical support by maintaining accurate records of case activities and communications.
- Assist in the training and supervision of junior staff within the litigation department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in a law office setting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in Needles or Neos.
- Excellent legal drafting skills with a focus on attention to detail in proofreading documents.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
