Law Firm Carolinas is seeking a full-time Litigation Paralegal for its Greensboro office. This position will assist attorneys in the firm’s active litigation and HOA general counsel practice with drafting documents and correspondence, organizing files, coordinating calendars, and interacting with clients and third parties. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required. Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence
- Organize, analyze, and maintain legal documents and case files
- File legal documents with courts
- Perform legal research and assist with trial preparation; experience with LexisNexis a plus
- Maintain accurate case status updates and monitor deadlines
- Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and address inquiries regarding their cases
- Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including case initiation, discovery, trial preparation, by organizing exhibits, preparing trial binders, managing evidence, and providing in-trial support, and post-trial activities
- Support HOA attorneys by pulling governing documents for homeowners’ associations, including articles of incorporation, declarations, by-laws, amendments and supplements from the secretaries of state and various county’s register of deeds websites
Required Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a litigation paralegal
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- High attention to detail
- Resourceful research and analytical skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks
