Job Title: Facility Maintenance Technician

Reports to: Facility Maintenance Supervisor
Position Summary:
Join us as a Facility Maintenance Technician, where you'll be the unsung hero behind the scenes, ensuring our equipment and buildings operate seamlessly. With your troubleshooting prowess and commitment to excellence, you'll uphold our standards of cleanliness and organization through TPM maintenance and 5S principles.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Master of All Trades: Serve as the go-to technician for all facility-related equipment, from the building to the grounds, ensuring everything runs like a well-oiled machine.
Detective of Operations: Observe equipment operations, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments or minor repairs as needed to keep everything in top shape.
Electrical and Mechanical Wizardry: Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, including lighting, HVAC units, fire alarms, domestic water systems, and fire pumps, with electrical support when necessary.
Fabrication Virtuoso: Operate fabrication equipment and machine shop tools, including presses, drills, and welding equipment, bringing your creative solutions to life.
Safety First: Safely and efficiently operate overhead cranes, forklifts, RTVs, booms, and scissor lifts, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Certified Excellence: Achieve and maintain powered industrial vehicle certification within 60 days of starting, proving your commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Quality Champion: Understand and comply with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements, playing a vital role in our commitment to quality and environmental standards.
Project Specialist: Take on special projects and related tasks as requested, showcasing your versatility and dedication.
- 2-3 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a similar environment.
- Basic competency in the English language.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
- Must obtain and maintain valid certification for powered industrial vehicles and overhead crane operations within 30 days of position start.
- An Associate's degree in Maintenance Technology is preferred.
- 2-5 years of demonstrated maintenance experience in a similar environment.
- Experience troubleshooting refrigeration systems.
- Basic understanding of Preventative Maintenance techniques and processes.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting mechanical systems.

Physical Requirements:
As a Facility Maintenance Technician, you'll need to thrive in varying conditions. You should be able to withstand extreme temperatures, stand for up to 8 hours, and possess dexterity to handle tools and controls. You may also need to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
