WHAT'S THE ROLE?
The role of Logistics Care – Van Specialist is to partner with the field (account managers, regional managers, district managers, financial business partners, trade managers) on all van related topics. As an owner of the van management process, expertly supporting our field team members on topics that include but are not limited to the setup and maintenance of van locations, van stock order portal (VSOP) readiness.
WHO IS HILTI?
WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?
- Act as a business partner for the field (account managers, regional managers, division managers, fulfillment managers, financial business partners, trade managers, and customer service) on all van inventory management topics, including:
- Stock check and order status support.
- Create stock movements (STO/PO).
- Provide stock movement support US/Canada Warehouses.
- Complete Scrap Requests and van write-offs.
- Know and explain zero-dollar transaction policy.
- First level escalations on all van related topics received through phone, email, and chat requests.
- Assist field with van stock order portal (VSOP) access and troubleshooting.
- Performing weekly tasks to identify, research and resolve open van orders.
- Reconcile inventory of vans through transaction forms and regular movement of sales professionals in and out of sales territories.
- Accurately maintain inventory levels for Hilti sales vehicles, including background tables to ensure accurate and timely replenishment of inventory.
- Partner with marketing to determine appropriate van inventory limits and product mix.
- Actively participate in field education through coaching and training for new and existing account managers.
- Assisting with annual van inventory.
- Drive continuous improvement and lean mindset.
- Other duties, as assigned.
In the first year, each team member averages over 450 hours of dedicated training time.

WHAT YOU NEED IS:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience, required.
- Solid knowledge of SAP systems.
- Functional knowledge of logistics processes.
- Solid knowledge of related business processes (i.e. Product Portfolio Management).
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Good communication, organization, and analytical skills. Detail oriented and able to handle multiple responsibilities and make decisions.
