Logistics Specialist

Sovena USA, one of the worlds largest bottler of olive oil and other edible oils is looking for a Logistics Specialist. The successful candidate will have the following:

Requirements:

• Must be well versed in all MS office applications, Word, Excel, and Power Point
• 1 -2 years of logistics experience preferred. Knowledge of DMV and DOT regulations a plus.
• Sound knowledge of shipping and logistics processes.
• SAP experience or working knowledge of TMS systems a plus.
• Effective communication and teamwork is necessary.
• Must be able to manage multiple priorities.

Duties:

• Ensure all paperwork regarding O-transport is completed in a timely fashion.
• Monitor driver logs to ensure rules and regulations are followed.
• Schedule any driver training that needs to be taken to remain compliant with DOT.
• Develop, update, and maintain all documents/reports related to responsibilities.
• File and organize.
• Back up Logistics Supervisor when out, assign drivers routes when necessary.
• Assist Logistics Supervisor with all backhaul requirements and documentation.
• Communicate with drivers to ensure all paperwork is complete and accurate.
• Schedule maintenance for fleet vehicles and maintain logs of service records, report to finance as requested.
• Tender loads for Sovena to outside carriers
• Maintain database of carriers to insure Sovena is receiving competitive rates.
• All other duties as assigned by Logistics Supervisor.
