The community you'll be caring for: AdventHealth Tampa
AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, womens services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year.
AdventHealth Tampa is home to the renowned AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute, a recognized leader in cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and leading-edge research caring for Tampa Bays hearts for over 35 years.
The Kiran C. Patel Research Institute, also located at AdventHealth Tampa, leads the way in clinical and academic research in the areas of neuroscience, cardiovascular medicine, advanced surgery and more contributing valuable knowledge that leads to tomorrows cures for conditions such as heart failure, cancer and other diseases.
The role you'll contribute:
To provide direct care to patients on an assigned unit at a demonstrated level of competent practice under the direction of a Registered Nurse as defined by the Florida State Board of Nursing and Advent Health policy. Functions and performs all technical aspects of nursing care within the framework of established policies and procedures of Advent Health. Responsible for care provision of assigned patients and delegating tasks to unlicensed personnel within scope of practice. Collaborates with nursing and clinical ancillary team members in delivery of patient care. Rotating call and overtime required.
The value you'll bring to the team:
Provides patient care specific to the needs of the populations served, demonstrating knowledge of their physical, psychosocial, and developmental requirements.
Maintains IV certification, administers medications through IV injections, and performs venipuncture, foley insertion, and foley care.
Assists with patient and family education and counseling as appropriate.
Other duties as assigned.
Assists Radiation Oncologist with examination, preparation, and follow-up of patients for consultations, on-treatment visits, and Radiation Therapy procedures.
Qualifications

Technical/Vocational School Required
1 Work Experience.Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Required
Licensed Practical Nurse IV (LPN-IV) Required
LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Required
