Machine Operator

Experienced and reliable Machine Operator with a strong background in operating and maintaining production equipment within high-speed manufacturing environments. Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, brand new start-up facility, where adaptability, precision, and a proactive mindset are essential. Skilled in monitoring machinery, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring consistent product quality while meeting tight production deadlines. Committed to safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement in every aspect of the operation.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Observe machine operations to detect malfunctions; make adjustments to controls and settings as needed
- Set up, start, and operate machines according to production specifications and schedules.
- Execute efficient changeovers between product types or packaging formats to minimize downtime
- Conduct routine cleaning and basic maintenance of machines to ensure optimal performance
- Record production data, machine performance, and any issues encountered during shifts.
- Follow all safety protocols, including use of PPE and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, maintenance personnel, and fellow operators to ensure smooth operations.
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Qualifications & Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and production documents
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends or overtime as needed
- Physically able to bend, stoop and squat, stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
