About the Role
The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring cold forming and heading equipment to produce precision metal parts from materials such as steel, aluminum, and copper. This role ensures that components are manufactured according to detailed blueprints and strict quality standards. Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate cold forming heading machines, including 1 Die – 2 Blow headers
- Read and interpret part drawings to plan the correct sequence of operations
- Monitor production equipment to ensure parts meet quality and dimensional specifications
- Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues to maintain efficient production flow
- Follow standard operating procedures for equipment setup and part production
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, setups, and machine performance
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers for part inspection
- Support general maintenance and cleaning of machinery and work area
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Training or hands-on experience with cold heading or metal forming machinery
- Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Skilled in using precision tools including micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Strong mechanical aptitude with attention to detail and safety
- Ability to follow written instructions and maintain production documentation
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Availability to work overtime when required

- Familiarity with producing parts to tight tolerances in a manufacturing environment
