The applicant will be working in a pallet manufacturing setting taking lumber and processing into finished wooden pallets. The applicant will be working in an outdoor environment under the direction of the plant's production supervisor. The pallet mill operator's job involves using industrial woodworking equipment such as gang rip saws and band resaws to process lumber into finished parts for the pallet manufacturing process. The operator's position also involves feeding material through machines and restacking material after it goes through a machine. The position is full time M-F.
Education
- High School or GED
Skills
- Operating industrial saws.
- Communication skills.
- An understanding of lumber dimensions.
- Proficiency in Spanish is preferential.
- Basic math skills
- An understanding measurements such as feet, inches, and fractional measurements.
