Job Description
The Machine Operator - SMT will assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs), operate automated manufacturing equipment, and perform the following duties listed below:
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and operate a solder screen printer, Pick and Place machine, and reflow oven.
- Daily machine performance verifications prior to production runs.
- Reads worksheets and wiring diagrams, receives verbal instructions, or follows sample assemblies, selects components such as transistors, resistors, relays, capacitors, and integrated circuits.
- Must be able to perform repetitive production line operations daily.
- Maintain necessary documentation.
- Ensure work area is clean and organized.
- Completes any additional assignments as requested by Department Supervisor.
- Comply with and ensure department compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret graphs and charts.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees of the organization.
- J-STD-001 – Highly preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Manual dexterity while handling extremely small and sensitive components.
- Ability to perform respective tasks
Experience: Minimum of one – two years of in line SMT experience or Pick and Place machine experience required.
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), equivalent from a vocational school or one (1) year related experience and/or training preferred.
Security: U.S. Person required (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident). May be required to obtain a security clearance.
