- Estimated annual base pay:
- Level I: $20.92 - $31.38 hourly
- Hours: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday-Friday

Position Purpose:
Under little supervision, maintains efficiency and trouble shoots complex production machinery: such as CNC machine tools, manual machine tools, PCBM equipment and production test stands. May assist in installation of new equipment. This is a journey level position.
Essential Functions:
- Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools, such as engine lathes, milling, drilling, grinding, polishing, buffing, and CNC machining centers.
- Fits and assembles parts to fabricate or repair machine tools and maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
- Tests faulty equipment and applies knowledge of functional mechanical units and systems to diagnose cause of malfunction.
- Adjust mechanical parts, using hand tools and power tools.
- Updates and maintains documentation in agreement with equipment and system changes.
Other Essential Functions:
- Maintains records of repairs, calibrations, and tests.
- May enter information into computer to copy program from one electronic component to another.
- Performs scheduled & non-scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.
- May be on-call on a rotating schedule.
- Will have to work overtime and some weekends with short notice.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- General understanding of electrical, electronic and mechanical systems and their related components.
- General verbal and written communications skills.
- General knowledge of various math skills including the practical application of fractions, percentages, ratio and proportion, and practical algebra.
- General ability to operate a variety of test instruments and hand tools.
- Ability to solve problems with limited guidance.
- Sound understanding of hydraulic and pnematic principles.
- General understanding of CNC principles and machine programming operations.
- Must be a team player. Be able to work in a self-directed environment.
- Must be flexible to a variety of work tasks that may or may not be related to the machine repair field.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Less than 2 years experience of related work
