Job Summary:
We do interesting work on a variety of parts and have a great group of people to work with. We are seeking a motivated and experienced production manager to oversee aspects of our customers and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on background in machining and/or precision grinding, excellent leadership & organizational skills, and a proven ability to be customer focused and work with a team.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze machined / ground part requirements, interpret drawings, and manage orders
- Plan, schedule, and monitor production schedules to meet customer deadlines in CNC machining and precision grinding departments
- Strengthen relationships with customers.
- Ensure all machines are running in accordance with the daily published schedule, and with objectives to meet established targets.
- Monitor sub contracted jobs
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Enforce quality control measures to maintain product quality and compliance with AS9100 standards and specifications
Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience working in a highly dynamic, metric driven, close tolerance manufacturing environment, with responsibilities in machine operation.
- Familiar with CNC and/or manual machining
- Ambition to own a process and continuously improve upon it.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to work with customers and internal team members.
- Must be able to work in a dynamic environment in which fast response is normal – where lead time is critical on quotes and delivery.
- Familiar with AS9100 / ISO 9001
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
