The Role:
We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Machining Technician who brings creativity and expertise to the table. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support at our East Syracuse location. You will perform a wide variety of complex tasks from fabricating parts to operating a variety of manual and computer controlled machines while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Work from schematics, blueprint or verbal instruction.
- Fabricate, assemble, machine, weld and/or fit together parts to form complete units or subassemblies.
- May assist in the installation and set-up of instruments and equipment.
- Interfaces with engineering to ensure manufacturing capabilities can accommodate engineering design.
- You’ll be the go-to for problem solving needed by fabrication or machining parts.
- Collaborate with other machinists, engineers and other cross-functional teams.
What We’re Looking For:
- An Associates Degree
- 4 + years of related experience in a variety of manufacturing processes.
- Must be able to reach and interpret blueprints, bill of materials, schematics (electrical and hydraulic), QAP’s and functional specifications.
- Mastery knowledge of manufacturing, assembly/welding and/or fabrication techniques, tools, test equipment, materials, machines and product.
- Ability to take conceptual information/models and transfer to project implementation.
What Sets You Apart:
- Strong background in machining and tooling, including the ability to design, recommend, and fabricate tooling and fixtures.
- Experience with CNC programming and machine setup to support production needs.
- Proficient in troubleshooting manufacturing processes and making improvements to tooling and machining operations.
Where and When You’ll Work:
- This is an in-person role located at our East Syracuse - Raybuilt location—ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.
- This role is Monday through Friday and you will work 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:
Wage - $24.50 – $36.50 per hour. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
