We are committed to maintaining a top-tier environment for our shoppers and tenants. To support our ongoing efforts, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our operations team.
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, in addition to performing grounds maintenance. All work will be done in compliance with EPA, Hazmat, and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, repairing minor electrical issues, and troubleshooting HVAC systems.
- Equipment Repairs: Handle repairs of the building’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Preventive Maintenance: Implement preventive maintenance measures to ensure the longevity and efficiency of mall equipment and systems.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and coordinate with management and external emergency services as needed.
- Grounds Keeping: Assist with the upkeep of outdoor areas, including parking lots and landscaped areas, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of scheduled maintenance procedures and equipment inventory.
- Vendor Coordination: Assist with the supervision of third-party contractors when professional repairs require such services.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational school certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician.
- Strong knowledge of systems such as electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
