Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Maintenance Technician, located in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area for a 500+ unit community. Maintenance Technician will perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks, manage the maintenance team, ensure equipment is properly maintained and repaired, and troubleshoot any maintenance-related issues. Day-to-day tasks include delegation of work orders, scheduling and conducting maintenance inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Maintenance Expertise
- Comprehensive knowledge of equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance protocols, with a proactive approach to reducing downtime and extending asset life.
- A proficient background in general property maintenance and repair, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance diagnostics.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve complex technical issues across multiple building systems.
Operational Knowledge
- In-depth understanding of safety standards, OSHA compliance, and regulatory requirements for multifamily properties.
- Thorough knowledge of turnover processes and make-ready operations, including vendor coordination, punch list execution, and unit inspection.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage maintenance priorities while collaborating effectively with leasing, operations, and regional teams.
Certifications & Technical Proficiency That Are Helpful!
- EPA Certified: Certified to handle and manage refrigerants in accordance with federal guidelines.
- CPO Certified: Certified Pool Operator with expertise in pool chemical management and facility compliance.
- Comfortable using property management software, digital work order systems, and mobile maintenance platforms for efficient task tracking.
- Skilled in spend tracking and expense control with a strong focus on staying within budget and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Additional Credentials
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of technical or vocational training in a maintenance-related field preferred.
- Previous experience working within property management environments required — including market-rate, affordable, and mixed-income communities.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with a reputation for reliability, adaptability, and professionalism under pressure.
