Job Overview
We are seeking an entry level to semi-skilled position involving the maintenance and repair of the city-owned streets, trails, sidewalks, parks, and stormwater systems. Knowledge of general vehicle maintenance and basic tools a plus. Must have a willingness to learn these valuable skill sets.
Duties Include but not limited to:
- Repair and maintenance of city streets by asphalt and concrete patching.
- Conduct routine maintenance of city park facilities and grounds.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Operates light and heavy equipment. Riding mowers, trucks, skid-steers, etc. Willing to train.
- Respond promptly to on-call assignments.
- Collaborate well with other departments to facilitate maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.

Requirements
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- Possess a valid Missouri Driver's License
- Ability to obtain a Missouri Class A Commercial Driver's License within 12 months or less of hire. Training paid by city.
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol screens.
- Ability to be on-call rotation, evenings and weekends, work extended hours occasionally.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform strenuous tasks in an outdoor environment.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
