Position: Dock Attendant
Shifts: Full-Time
Overview:
Dock Attendants play a vital role in ensuring that all guests enjoy a safe, clean, and welcoming experience from arrival to departure. This hands-on role supports marina operations, guest services, and facility upkeep.
Primary Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)
o Assist and monitor customers with fueling and pump-outs
o Process point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently
o Provide basic maintenance on docks and marina grounds
o Assist vessels with safe docking procedures
o Keep guest facilities clean, stocked, and welcoming throughout the day
o Monitor pool and hot tub areas to ensure guest safety and rule compliance
o Test and balance pool and hot tub chemicals per county and state regulations
o Perform general groundskeeping to ensure a clean and inviting atmosphere
o Complete tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Lead or Marina Manager
o Participate in training programs and safety briefings as required
Facility & System Oversight:
Maintain high standards of operation and assist with upkeep across multiple systems
o Septic
o Docks
o Water
o Buildings
o Pool/Hot Tub
o Parking Areas
o Fuel
o Grounds
Administrative Support:
o Work with the Marina Manager to maintain the required operational records
o Coordinate with the Maintenance Lead to purchase supplies
o Maintain and manage system logs
o Support inventory control for essential supplies and repair parts
o Provide input on annual budgets when appropriate
Customer Service & Safety:
o Deliver exceptional customer service, including assisting with fuel, docking, and pump-outs
o Always remain alert to unsafe conditions or behavior
o Promote a safe environment for guests, tenants, staff, and marina property
o Report concerns and take appropriate action as needed
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
o Must be 21 years of age or older
o Availability to work weekends is required
o Strong customer service skills and a friendly, professional attitude
o Able to work independently and remain calm under pressure
o Physically able to walk, lift 65lbs, and move throughout the shift
o Strong sense of initiative, common sense, and motivation
o Excellent teamwork and communication skills
o Attention to detail, especially regarding safety, maintenance, and cleanliness
o Willingness to learn new skills and participate in ongoing training
o Familiarity with computer systems, including Microsoft 365, Zoom, and Outlook
o Comfortable with internal communication platforms Basecamp (compatible system e.g. - Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat & Spaces)

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
