POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager, Approved Provider Program (APP) is responsible for implementing and managing Association activities and projects related to the Approved Provider Program. This role ensures that APP initiatives and work plans support the strategic goals of the Division and, by extension, the Association.
The Manager also plays a key role in supporting AOTA’s Annual Planning & Performance (APP) framework, which connects organizational goals, operational priorities, and measurable outcomes. This includes aligning APP program activities with strategic objectives, supporting performance tracking, and contributing to data-driven decision-making and reporting across AOTA. The ideal candidate ensures effective coordination and communication within the Division and across departments to achieve both programmatic and operational goals.
WORK ENVIRONMENT (Remote/Hybrid):
This is a fully remote position, with the option to work in a hybrid capacity at our Bethesda, Maryland HQ.
POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Manage the day-to-day operations and administration of AOTA’s Approved Provider Program.
Review and make determinations on APP applications, renewals, and compliance submissions.
Ensure that APP processes and criteria reflect current best practices in continuing education and professional development.
Implement and monitor strategic objectives for APP, including data collection and outcome evaluation, in alignment with AOTA’s Annual Planning & Performance (APP) goals.
Develop and maintain program materials, tools, and guidance resources for applicants and providers.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all APP stakeholders, responding to inquiries and supporting applicants throughout the process.
Identify areas for process improvement and program innovation, providing recommendations to leadership for program enhancement.
Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., communications, customer service, and legal) to support cross-functional efforts related to APP.
Monitor national trends and accreditation standards related to continuing professional development and incorporate relevant findings into APP operations.
Develop and maintain content and updates for the APP webpage and related outreach platforms.
Contribute to reports and program updates for internal and external stakeholders, including Board-level summaries.
Support the annual budget development for the APP program, ensuring appropriate tracking of program costs and revenues.
Represent AOTA at professional meetings and conferences as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
