Job description

Job Title: Manufactoring Cyber Security Partner

Department: Enterprise IT, Global Manufacturing & Supply

Location: Taastrup

Your impact begins here

As Manufactoring Cyber Security Partner, you will lead industrial security across a Senior Vice President (SVP) area in Global Manufacturing & Supply. You will assess how well production systems are protected, close critical IT/OT security gaps and set the security targets that help manufacturing move forward with confidence. Your expertise will keep the systems behind our production secure and resilient, so the treatments people living with serious chronic diseases rely on can keep reaching them.

What you’ll bring

You combine deep IT/OT security expertise with a clear understanding of what manufacturing needs to deliver. You will also bring:

  • A master’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.

  • Relevant industry certifications, such as ISA/IEC, CISSP, CISM or CISA.

  • 5–10 years of experience with IT/OT security in a large organisation.

  • Experience with IT security frameworks, such as NIST CSF or ISO 27001.

  • Experience from the pharmaceutical or industrial/manufacturing industries.

  • A strong understanding of IT and OT, and the ability to connect security to business objectives.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships across a large business area.

  • Very good interpersonal and coaching skills.

  • The ability to collaborate and communicate with external parties, including vendors, consultants and authorities.

What you’ll do

You will be the security lead and senior authority on industrial control systems security for your SVP area – the person manufacturing turns to when a security question needs a clear, expert answer. You will:

  • Assess security maturity across production areas and systems, facilitate risk discussions and identify critical IT/OT security gaps and risks.

  • Define strategic security targets for the SVP area, determine the governance needed for security across manufacturing, and contribute to wider cyber security strategies.

  • Advise manufacturing projects on designing and delivering secure systems, including reviewing supplier responses in RFI/RFP activities.

  • Act as decision authority for policy exceptions and security control deviations in manufacturing, approving or rejecting requests.

  • Support the assessment and resolution of security incidents and the remediation of audit findings, applying relevant standards for industrial control systems.

  • Track developments in manufacturing security, anticipate their impact on Novo Nordisk and lead awareness activities that strengthen security across tools, systems and processes.

Who you’ll work with

You will serve as the cyber security organisation’s representative in your SVP area within Global Manufacturing & Supply, where colleagues scale molecules, processes, devices and products for the people who need them.

Your closest partners will include Leadership teams in Global Manufacturing & Supply IT, the SVP IT Security Responsible, SMEs in Infrastructure and Information Security, cyber security management and architects, and colleagues in manufacturing procurement. You will also guide and support colleagues with assigned security responsibilities across the SVP area and help SVP management solve security challenges related to manufacturing.

As the liaison between manufacturing and Cyber Security, you will facilitate workshops and forums with security representatives, share trends in industrial control systems security and advise on major incidents. Your role is to bring clarity to priorities so that security and production move forward together, at pace.

What you can expect here

You will be trusted with real authority: your advice and decisions will shape how security is governed across manufacturing. Your expertise will be valued, and you will be encouraged to make your voice heard – and once a decision is made, to commit and move forward together with your colleagues.

You will grow through work that spans IT and OT, manufacturing and cyber security, and internal and external partners. You will also have the opportunity to lead activities and projects that require a high degree of information security experience, and to coach colleagues as they build their own security capabilities.

We are a global healthcare company, founded in 1923 and headquartered just outside Copenhagen, Denmark. Our purpose is to drive change to defeat serious chronic diseases, built upon our heritage in diabetes. We do so by pioneering scientific breakthroughs, expanding access to our medicines, and working to prevent and ultimately cure the diseases we treat. Our story began over 100 years ago when two small Danish companies started producing the revolutionary new drug, insulin, which had just been discovered by Canadian scientists. These companies, Nordisk Insulinlaboratorium and Novo Terapeutisk Laboratorium, were established by individuals driven by a common goal: to make life-saving insulin available to people with diabetes in Denmark and beyond. August Krogh, a Nobel laureate, and his wife Marie, a physician whose own diabetes fueled their quest, played a pivotal role in bringing insulin production to Denmark, leading to the founding of Nordisk Insulinlaboratorium in 1923. Shortly after, in 1925, the Pedersen brothers, former Nordisk employees, established Novo Terapeutisk Laboratorium, creating a dynamic of competition and innovation that would characterize the Danish pharmaceutical landscape for decades. After years of parallel growth and groundbreaking research, these two entities merged in 1989 to form Novo Nordisk A/S, a company that has since expanded rapidly. Today, we are a world leader not only in diabetes care but also in obesity care, haemophilia care, and therapies for rare endocrine disorders. Our commitment extends beyond developing innovative medicines; we strive to make them accessible to patients worldwide. We employ more than 77,000 people across 80 offices globally and market our products in approximately 170 countries. The Novo Nordisk Way, our set of guiding principles, is rooted in the vision of our founders and continues to inspire our thousands of colleagues. We are dedicated to applying our passion, skills, and commitment to defeat serious chronic diseases that affect hundreds of millions of people and represent some of the most urgent global health challenges. Our U.S. headquarters is located in Plainsboro, New Jersey, playing a vital role in the life sciences industry through sales, marketing, and clinical trial management for all Novo Nordisk U.S. products. We are also significantly investing in manufacturing capabilities, including a $4.1 billion expansion in North Carolina, to meet the growing demand for our diabetes and obesity medications.
