Your tasks
The Manufacturing Engineering (Final Assembly) Internship at Continental is a once in a lifetime opportunity to support a new facility start-up located in New Braunfels, Texas. The $110 million facility will manufacture Advanced Driver Assistance Systems for automated and assisted driving. The Production Manufacturing Internship position is a developmental role to gain practical experience in the Production environment and support the needs of the department. In this capacity, the ME Intern will contribute to successful operations for the new facility site. This position is scheduled to last 12 weeks in length from May 18, 2026-August 7, 2026.
- Collect cycle time information, formulate, and implement improvement ideas in production area and in Logistics (Warehouse) operations
- Study and Design potential Production Layout improvements to increase efficiency within the Manufacturing department
- Implement LEAN concepts to the Production System (e-Kanban, Pull Systems, One Piece flow,…)
- Support improvement activities for OEE, Yield, Scrap and DPMO
- Support other Engineering duties and projects as assigned

- Gain deep knowledge in different manufacturing procedures to optimize Production Processes.

Your profile
- Currently enrolled in an accredited University Degree Program
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or other related studies
- 3.0 overall GPA or higher
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
