Job description

I am working with a well-established and highly respected engineering manufacturer who are seeking a Process Engineer to join its growing operations. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in improving manufacturing performance, supporting new product introduction activities, and driving continuous improvement across a machining and assembly environment.

Reporting into senior leadership, you will work in a close-knit team of five engineers, be responsible for developing and optimising manufacturing processes, improving productivity and efficiency, and providing technical support to production operations. You'll work closely with production, quality, supply chain and engineering teams to deliver practical manufacturing solutions that support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes, workflows and production methods.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, cost, delivery and efficiency.
  • Support NPI activities and process validation.
  • Design and implement tooling, fixtures and manufacturing solutions.
  • Create and maintain work instructions, SOPs and process documentation.
  • Analyse production data to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Support capital equipment and tooling investment projects.
  • Work collaboratively across engineering, production and quality functions.

About YouTo be successful, you will have:

  • Experience within a manufacturing, production or industrial engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of process improvement and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience supporting machining, assembly or production operations.
  • The ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • A proactive approach with a passion for driving operational improvements.

Desirable Experience

  • Automotive, aerospace or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • APQP, PPAP or structured NPI processes.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen or similar CI methodologies.
  • Experience supporting operator training and production ramp-up activities.
