Positions available for Experienced Full Time Marine Technicians to provide full service repairs and maintenance on various boat types.
Talley’s Pier 77 Marine is a full service boat dealership for Regal, Yamaha Outboards and Volvo Penta with on site service facilities and mobile service on Lake Norman, Mountain Island Lake & Lake Wylie.
Candidate must be self-motivated, organized with a great attention to detail, with effective time management skills, work with minimum supervision and have their own tools. Marine industry experience is desired.
Normal Schedule will be Tuesday through Saturday. Competitive pay based on experience and skill. Candidate must have valid drivers license, pass background test and pre-employment drug test.
We are looking for Marine Technicians to join our team of exceptional people. Experience in the marine industry is preferred but not necessarily required. Clean driving record is required and trailer towing experience required. Boating experience is preferred. We are looking for applicants who possess the following skills:

As a Marine Technician, daily job will consist of but not limited to the following examples: * Perform maintenance and repairs on engines and out drives, boat electrical systems (DC) and Electronic and hardware Installations
- Rig new units for sale
- Diagnose problems and customer complaints
- Develop plan to repair or correct problems or failures
- Perform repairs as needed
- Transportation of boats to one of our service facility via truck and trailer or by water
- Record Actual time spend on each job. Write a full description of work performed to address each problem listed on the Repair Order.
- Any repair done to be “by the book”, service needs to be performed per manufactures manuals. No shortcuts are allowed.
- Responsible for recording any parts used on each job.
- Responsible for keeping work area clean
- Assist in keeping facilities and company equipment clean and operational
- Maintain certifications, perform online training to maintain or to advance certification in Mercury, Volvo Pent and Yamaha
- Perform work in a timely manner
- Communicate with Parts Manager regarding parts needed
- Communicate with Service Manager Regarding, Service recommend/Issues/problems found in addition to outstanding jobs on the Repair Order
