Job description

Your impact begins here

As Market Access Manager, you will shape how treatments in your assigned therapy area(s) reach people across Region Europe & Canada. You will develop market access strategies, support affiliates as they put them into action and keep a close eye on a fast-moving pricing and HTA landscape. By turning regional insight into clear direction for affiliates and Global colleagues, you will anchor market access work in patient access and business goals, helping more people get the treatment they need.

What you’ll bring

You know how market access works in practice – from strategy to submission – and you can connect it to what it means for patients and the business. You will bring:

  • An M.Sc. in economics, public health, epidemiology, pharmacy or a similar field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in pharma market access, gained in an affiliate, regional or headquarter role, or in consultancy.
  • Hands-on experience developing and executing market access strategies and reimbursement submissions to payers and HTA bodies.
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills, combined with the interpersonal skills to build trust and alignment across teams.
  • Business acumen and the ability to anchor market access activities in patient access and business goals.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

Useful, but not essential:

  • Experience with payer research, payer advisory boards or formal HTA interactions, such as NICE scientific advice meetings.
  • Experience supporting go-to-market planning for new launches.

What you’ll do

You will own market access for your assigned therapy area(s) at regional level, making sure strategy, evidence and affiliate execution move forward together. You will:

  • Develop market access strategies and tactical plans, contribute to cross-functional regional strategy, and support affiliates in shaping and implementing their local plans.
  • Monitor the market access and HTA landscape across Europe & Canada, flagging key risks and opportunities to your manager and regional peers.
  • Validate strategies and input to drug development externally through timely, compliant payer research and payer advisory boards, and support Global and affiliate colleagues in formal HTA interactions.
  • Support go-to-market strategy and capability-building plans for new launches at regional and affiliate level.
  • Build and maintain tools to track key affiliate market access activities, offering strategic sparring where it adds value.
  • Coordinate Pricing & Market Access activities in the regional office and affiliate engagements, share best practices, and manage the budget for your own tasks and external projects.

Who you’ll work with

You will join Pricing & Market Access in the Region Europe & Canada office, part of the Finance & Operations team, where colleagues work across markets to serve people and help improve health at scale. You will report to the Director, Market Access.

Your closest partners will be market access colleagues at global, International Operations, regional and affiliate level, alongside regional Commercial and Medical teams. Together, you will align on market access strategies, communication and issues as they arise. You will also manage external vendors, keeping projects on track and maintaining momentum when many stakeholders are involved.

The role gives you the chance to represent Novo Nordisk in external fora, in line with the agreed strategy, and to carry regional needs and trends into Global and International Operations priorities.

What you can expect here

You will work in an international environment where your expertise shapes decisions across many markets. Some therapy areas have limited data and few established approaches, so you will be trusted to think creatively, make your voice heard and find new ways to secure access. Working across affiliates, regional teams and Global colleagues, you will broaden your perspective and build new skills through practical, cross-market experience.

You will be supported to perform at your best, with clear expectations and room to take ownership. The work moves at pace, and you will be part of a team that combines curiosity, collaboration and ambition to help more people live healthier lives.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 716,040.00 to 1,052,540.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

We are a global healthcare company, founded in 1923 and headquartered just outside Copenhagen, Denmark. Our purpose is to drive change to defeat serious chronic diseases, built upon our heritage in diabetes. We do so by pioneering scientific breakthroughs, expanding access to our medicines, and working to prevent and ultimately cure the diseases we treat. Our story began over 100 years ago when two small Danish companies started producing the revolutionary new drug, insulin, which had just been discovered by Canadian scientists. These companies, Nordisk Insulinlaboratorium and Novo Terapeutisk Laboratorium, were established by individuals driven by a common goal: to make life-saving insulin available to people with diabetes in Denmark and beyond. August Krogh, a Nobel laureate, and his wife Marie, a physician whose own diabetes fueled their quest, played a pivotal role in bringing insulin production to Denmark, leading to the founding of Nordisk Insulinlaboratorium in 1923. Shortly after, in 1925, the Pedersen brothers, former Nordisk employees, established Novo Terapeutisk Laboratorium, creating a dynamic of competition and innovation that would characterize the Danish pharmaceutical landscape for decades. After years of parallel growth and groundbreaking research, these two entities merged in 1989 to form Novo Nordisk A/S, a company that has since expanded rapidly. Today, we are a world leader not only in diabetes care but also in obesity care, haemophilia care, and therapies for rare endocrine disorders. Our commitment extends beyond developing innovative medicines; we strive to make them accessible to patients worldwide. We employ more than 77,000 people across 80 offices globally and market our products in approximately 170 countries. The Novo Nordisk Way, our set of guiding principles, is rooted in the vision of our founders and continues to inspire our thousands of colleagues. We are dedicated to applying our passion, skills, and commitment to defeat serious chronic diseases that affect hundreds of millions of people and represent some of the most urgent global health challenges. Our U.S. headquarters is located in Plainsboro, New Jersey, playing a vital role in the life sciences industry through sales, marketing, and clinical trial management for all Novo Nordisk U.S. products. We are also significantly investing in manufacturing capabilities, including a $4.1 billion expansion in North Carolina, to meet the growing demand for our diabetes and obesity medications.
