Job description

Sidecar Health is redefining health insurance. Our mission is to make excellent healthcare affordable and accessible for everyone. We know that to accomplish this lofty mission, we need driven people who will make things happen.

The passionate people who make up Sidecar Health’s team come from all over, with backgrounds as tech leaders, policy makers, healthcare professionals, and beyond. And they all have one thing in common—the desire to fix a broken system and make it more personalized, affordable, and transparent.

If you want to use your talents to transform healthcare in the United States, come join us!

About the Role

Sidecar Health's Broker & Partnership Marketing team runs a full calendar of national and regional conferences, sponsorships, and broker-facing events (FL SHRM, national SHRM, GA NABIP, GCHR, golf tournaments, and more) that drive pipeline for the broker channel, alongside ongoing broker communications, RSM enablement, and marketing operations work that continues year-round. This role owns end-to-end event execution and flexes into broader marketing support during lighter stretches of the calendar, so the Director can focus on broker relationships, channel strategy, and program growth.

The person in this seat should be able to run a conference with minimal oversight once direction is set, and should bring existing vendor/logistics experience or the ability to build those relationships fast.

Location & Travel: Candidates must reside in GA, OH, TX, or FL. Expect up to 30% travel, heaviest in Q3 and around key sponsored events, with lighter months focused on marketing and collateral support.

What You'll Do

  • End-to-end event execution: own the conference calendar; manage timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships for every event from initial planning through post-event wrap-up.
  • Vendor management & negotiation: source and negotiate with vendors for booth activations, swag, signage, and lead capture activity; own the vendor relationship, not just order-placing.
  • Budget ownership: manage event-specific budgets, track spend against plan, and flag variances proactively.
  • On-site event management: represent Sidecar Health at conferences and sponsorship events (travel required, estimated 20-30%); manage booth setup, staffing coordination, and day-of logistics.
  • Lead capture & RSM handoff: own the post-event pipeline: process booth-captured leads, build and maintain RSM outreach toolkits, and track follow-up cadence completion through to conversion.
  • Sponsorship & partnership logistics: manage sponsorship deliverables (golf tournaments, association partnerships) including gifting, signage, and relationship follow-up with sponsor contacts.
  • Marketing collateral & asset management: maintain the broker collateral library (one-pagers, toolkits, presentations); keep materials current and on-brand between production cycles.
  • Campaign & digital support: assist with email marketing, marketing automation platform upkeep (e.g., HubSpot/Pardot-equivalent tools), and light social/content support as broader marketing needs arise.
  • Cross-functional coordination: partner closely with Sales/RSMs, the CMO's office, and outside vendors; keep Jira/SharePoint project tracking current.
  • Continuous improvement: build repeatable playbooks and vendor spec libraries so each event doesn't start from scratch.

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in event planning/coordination or marketing coordination, ideally in B2B, healthcare, or insurance/broker-facing marketing.
  • Proven vendor negotiation experience: has managed budgets and vendor relationships independently, not just executed against someone else's plan.
  • Comfortable traveling to and running events on-site; able to manage high-pressure, fast-turnaround logistics calmly.
  • Strong written communicator, comfortable drafting broker- and RSM-facing communications for review and adapting tone across channels.
  • Basic insurance/broker-channel literacy a plus: familiarity with broker/carrier relationships and awareness that insurance marketing materials often carry compliance or filing considerations (training provided; deep expertise not required).
  • Organized self-starter who can manage multiple concurrent events and marketing deliverables without close supervision, and who can shift between event-heavy and marketing-support work as the calendar demands.
  • Experience with lead capture tools, CRM/pipeline handoff, marketing automation platforms, and project tracking tools (Jira, SharePoint) a plus.
  • Reports directly to the Director of Broker & Partnership Marketing; no direct reports initially, with potential to grow the function

What You'll Get

  • Competitive salary, bonus opportunity, and equity package
  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits
  • A 401k retirement plan
  • Paid vacation and company holidays
  • Opportunity to make an impact at a rapidly growing mission-driven company transforming healthcare in the U.S.

At the heart of Sidecar Health's mission is a drive to make healthcare affordable and accessible for everyone in the United States. We are a team of problem solvers, embracing new ideas and developing creative solutions daily to achieve this goal. Our culture is built on ownership, where we hold ourselves and one another accountable. We value a strong bias for action, constantly moving forward to innovate within the health insurance industry. Leading with empathy is core to our interactions; we actively work to understand each other's perspectives. Sidecar Health is redefining health insurance with a modern, common-sense approach that puts consumers in control of their costs and choices. We believe that by offering complete transparency into coverage and costs, plus control over where care is received, we can significantly reduce healthcare expenses nationwide. Our innovative model empowers members by allowing them to see any licensed healthcare provider they choose, eliminating the restrictions of traditional networks. We provide upfront pricing information, so members know what their plan will pay before they even see a doctor. This transparency, coupled with the Sidecar Health VISA benefit card for direct payments, simplifies the healthcare process and motivates cost-conscious decisions. If members spend less than their benefit amount, they share in the savings. This approach not only reshapes behavior and reduces costs but also cuts through the red tape that often defines traditional insurance, resulting in denial rates below 1%. We are committed to giving back to our communities and proudly donate to charitable organizations that promote better health. Our team is composed of passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds, including tech leaders, policymakers, and healthcare professionals, all united by the desire to fix a broken system and make it more personalized, affordable, and transparent.
