Job Title: Material Handling Assistant, Manufacturing – Day shift, FULLTIME
Job Description:
***PART TIME***
Under supervision of the Cutting Department Supervisor, the Material Handling Assistant will aid the receiving, handling, storing, pulling, cutting, prepping, and staging of materials in-house that are essential to pre-production. This role will also require occasional assistance in other departments, such as Shipping.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (basic overview):
- Assisting in the physical aspect of receiving material
- Must use all safety precautions and follow internal safety procedures and classes
- Cut and prep material as instructed by supervisor
- Operate equipment for material cutting/prepping – band saw, deburring machine, abrasive saw, and more
- Calculate measurements
- Assist in Inventory Control by counting, locating, and handling
- Documentation must consistently be within ISO 9001: 2015 guidelines (will be taught)
- Additional general labor in downtime
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to follow orders in a moderately fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Basic Math
- Familiarity with sawing, cutting, and deburring equipment preferred
- Team attitude
- Must be dependable
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in a shop/manufacturing environment is a definite plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
