We are seeking a versatile and skilled Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance and Field Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on our vehicles and equipment, as well as assisting with field operations in and around homes. This position requires expertise in mechanics, construction, and the ability to work both in the workshop and out in the field.
Responsibilities: Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance:
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and specialized equipment, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform repairs, and replace defective parts as needed.
- Perform routine service tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including schedules, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Keep the workshop area clean, organized, and ensure proper storage and maintenance of tools and equipment.
Field Operations:
- Assist with field operations, including working in and around homes, handling tools, and performing tasks related to construction, repairs, or installations.
- Collaborate with field teams to ensure smooth project execution, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Conduct pre-operational inspections on equipment and machinery, identifying and addressing any potential safety hazards or malfunctions.
- Communicate effectively with team members, homeowners, and clients to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or vocational training in mechanics, construction, or related fields are preferred.
- Proven experience in vehicle and equipment maintenance, including diagnostics, repairs, and routine service tasks.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of construction practices.
- Proficiency in using a wide range of hand and power tools commonly used in vehicle maintenance and construction.
- Solid understanding of safety protocols and procedures in both workshop and field environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for maintaining accurate records.
- Effective communication skills to interact with team members, homeowners, and clients.
