Resident Care Partner/Medication Technician

POSITION OVERVIEW
Responsibilities:
- Provide quality resident care as indicated on the care plan
- Promote residents’ independence
- Provide assistance with housekeeping and laundry
- Medication administration depending on state regulations
- Participate in community's Life Enrichment Activities, events and outings, while encouraging residents to attend
- Assists residents with their daily medications, treatments and resident care as assigned and within the scope of practice, policy and procedures and per state and federal regulations.
- Observe and verify medication is ingested or applied as directed.
- Maintain accurate, complete and confidential resident medication and care records according to established procedure and state law.
- Keep medicine carts and areas orderly, clean and appropriately stocked and locked. Maintain upkeep and cleanliness of medicine carts and medication rooms
- Maintain all required licenses/certifications and continuing education as required by state law, if applicable.
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Experienced Caregiver or Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) per state requirements
- Experience with handling medication required if MedTech
- High School Diploma or GED or 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Medication certification may be required per state or board regulations
- The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time and work overtime as needed
- The ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation
