Position Summary
The Medical Assistant (MA) will play a vital role on our home-based palliative care team, supporting providers and patients through hands-on clinical and administrative work. This role requires someone who is compassionate, dependable, and comfortable working independently in patients’ homes.
Responsibilities
- Assist palliative care providers during in-home visits
- Record vital signs, patient history, and medications
- Provide emotional support to patients and families
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR system
- Coordinate labs, referrals, and follow-up appointments
- Monitor and restock clinical supplies for mobile care
- Communicate regularly with interdisciplinary care teams
- Uphold infection control, safety, and HIPAA standards
- Travel to patient homes within [designated service area]
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, home care or hospice preferred
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and proof of auto insurance
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Compassionate, self-motivated, and adaptable

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
