Medical Assistant – Float | Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Coney Island | Days
Assignment Duration: July 28 – October 1, 2025 (with potential for extension)
Clinic Hours:
Monday–Friday: 7:30 AM – 7:30 PM
Saturday Hours (Effective 7/28–10/1): 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Location: Various NYC boroughs – Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Coney Island
About the Role:
We’re seeking a reliable and experienced Medical Assistant to join a dynamic clinic environment with extended weekday and weekend hours. You'll be a key part of the patient care team, helping to ensure smooth operations, compassionate service, and high-quality support to providers and patients alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients during check-in and check-out
- Answer phone calls professionally and handle inquiries
- Register patients and enter accurate medical history and information
- Take and record vital signs
- Collect blood and urine samples following standard protocols
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures
- Maintain smooth patient flow and support efficient clinic operations
- Relay messages accurately via phone, written notes, and electronically
- Work closely with clinical and administrative staff
- Protect patient privacy in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Complete charge tickets and ensure accurate payment processing
- Scan, fax, and file medical documents
- Participate in professional development and training
- Perform additional administrative duties as directed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of recent experience in a medical assistant or similar clinical support role preferred
- Strong adaptability to fast-paced, high-volume environments
- Professional, courteous, and composed under pressure
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Drug screen and background check required

Documents Required for Submission:
- Physical exam (within last 12 months with health clearance)
- Tuberculosis screening (PPD or QuantiFERON within 12 months)
- Immunity documentation for MMR and Varicella (titers or complete vaccination records)
- Hepatitis B proof of vaccination or titer (or signed declination form)
- BLS certification (AHA only)
- Drug screening (please call the clinic in advance)
- Licensure/Certifications (if applicable)

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
