First Eye Associates is seeking a flexible and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. Our office provides an exceptionally high level of care for our patients.
About the Medical Assistant Position
Our new Medical Assistant will be a welcome addition to our team. A passion for eye care and general patient health is essential to providing the best experience we can.
As a Medical Assistant in our practice, your regular duties will include:
- Obtain patient history to include chief complaint, history of present illness, past history (ocular and general), family history (ocular and general), and history of allergies and medications.
- Perform accurate and consistent documentation and measurement testing including Visual Acuity, Manual Lensometry, Confrontational Visual Fields, Dilation of Pupils and more.
- Scribe with the physician paying attention to detail while being HIPPA compliant
- Assisting the physician with minor procedures
- Performing OCT's and Visual Field and other diagnostic tests
Requirements & Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as an Ophthalmic Assistant preferred not required. We will teach you all the skills you will need to be successful in your career.
- Demonstrate comprehension of Ophthalmic Assistant skills or open to certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-organized with attention to detail and ability to efficiently multitask
