Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Answer multi-line phones and either direct the caller to the appropriate party or handle the caller's needs yourself
- Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on provider availability
- Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data
- Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits
- Provide patients with support and guidance as needed
- Process incoming faxes and monitor patient email
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma/GED required
- Medical office experience preferred, but not required. We will train the right applicant
- Ability to handle a fast-paced, high volume environment and prioritize tasks based on importance
- Professional communication with patients and staff
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and desktop publishing software
- Comfortable learning electronic medical records system
- Willingness to work as a team and individually
