Summary
As a Medical Records Clerk, you will be integral to maintaining accurate and organized patient records within our medical office. Reporting to the Clinical Manager, you will utilize your expertise in EHR systems and medical terminology to ensure the efficient handling of medical records. Your core skills in medical office operations will be essential in managing documentation and supporting healthcare providers. With strong organizational skills and familiarity with Epic software, you will contribute to the smooth functioning of our healthcare team and enhance patient care through meticulous record-keeping.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, specifically Epic, to input and retrieve patient information.
- Ensure proper organization and confidentiality of medical documents.
- Apply medical terminology knowledge to assist in the documentation process.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate efficient patient care and record-keeping.
- Obtaining medical records for patient visits while adhering to privacy standards.
Qualifications
- Medical office experience
- Proficiency in EHR systems, particularly Epic
- Strong understanding of medical terminology
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to perform documentation review accurately
- Experience in managing medical records and patient care documentation
