We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team.
For the days Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of the week.
The Medical Scribe will play a crucial role in assisting healthcare providers by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time. This position is ideal for individuals looking for a part-time position to gain valuable experience in the medical field while enhancing their understanding of medical documentation and patient care processes.
Duties
- Accurately transcribe medical records during patient visits, ensuring all relevant information is captured.
- Document patient history, physical examinations, and treatment plans as directed by healthcare providers.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve workflow and enhance patient care.
- Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards regarding medical documentation.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively for data entry and retrieval.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with ER protocols and procedures is a plus.
- Strong typing skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and systems is essential for success in this role.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
