Your role in our mission
- This position is a contractually required role for the Medi‑Cal MMIS account for the Department of Health Care Services.
- The Medical Supply Specialist is responsible for responding to referrals from DHCS within 4 hours of notification.
- Reviewing policy and attending meetings with DHCS.
- Processing claims requiring medical review expertise and responding to referrals from internal departments.
What we're looking for
- Active California RN license required.
- Experience with medical supplies.
- Experience in the healthcare industry, including insurance, provider support, and business analysis.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, create and/or follow project schedules, and meet internal timelines, client deadlines, and delivery expectations.

What you should expect in this role
- Must be a resident of the state of California and within 35 miles of the state capitol.
- Primarily remote work, with occasional onsite meetings, special training, or other business needs. The office is located in West Sacramento.
- Reliable high‑speed internet connectivity is required.
- Highly collaborative and interactive team environment.
- Accountability for individual work assignments and projects.

The pay range for this position is $92,900.00 - $132,700.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
