Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Liaison to join our team. This role involves coordinating care, facilitating referrals, providing mental health education, and supporting a collaborative approach to wellness among clients, families, and service providers. This position includes an additional 5% weekend differential.
Responsibilities
- Act as a bridge between clients and mental health professionals, ensuring timely access to appropriate care.
- Conduct initial screenings or assessments to identify mental health needs and risk factors.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to individuals experiencing mental health emergencies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with mental health providers, hospitals, schools, and community organizations.
- Coordinate and monitor referrals, follow-ups, and treatment progress.
- Educate staff, clients, and families about mental health topics and available resources.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all interactions and referrals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Attend case management meetings and contribute to care planning and service delivery.
- Promote mental health awareness and stigma reduction within the organization/community.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience in mental health settings is a plus but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mental health, counseling, or case management role.
- Knowledge of community mental health systems and crisis intervention strategies.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Sensitivity to diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $31.50 - $35.50 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
