Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dually skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our growing team. This unique role will involve providing direct clinical services to our clients while also contributing strategically to our marketing and outreach efforts. The ideal candidate will be passionate about both clinical work and increasing access to mental health care within the community.

Clinical Responsibilities:
Must maintain a small caseload
Work one Saturday per month
Marketing Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, evaluate, and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance public awareness of New Direction's mental health services and effectively reach individuals, families, and community partners who may benefit from our support.
Create engaging and informative content for various marketing channels, which may include our website, social media platforms (such as Facebook and Instagram), email newsletters, blog posts, and brochures, ensuring consistent messaging and branding.
Manage and regularly update the organization's online presence, including website content, social media profiles, and online directories, to ensure accuracy, relevance, and a positive user experience.
Proactively network and build strong collaborative relationships with local community organizations, schools, primary care physicians, and other professionals to establish referral pathways and increase community engagement.
Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of community outreach events, health fairs, workshops, seminars, retreats, and presentations to raise awareness about mental health and New Direction's services.
Track, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives using relevant metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement and optimization of outreach efforts.
Attend community events and meetings to inform them of our services.
Increase the number of referrals and referral sources that we receive
Increase the number of partners that we currently have
Responsible for the marketing of our services and our programs
Collaborate closely with the administrative team and other clinical staff to identify emerging marketing opportunities, develop relevant and compelling marketing materials, and ensure alignment between clinical services and outreach activities.
Qualifications:
Possession of a Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related mental health field from an accredited university.
Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)] in the state of North Carolina. Fully or Provisional License.
Demonstrable experience providing direct mental health therapy to individuals, couples, and/or families, with a strong understanding of various therapeutic modalities.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of ethical and legal standards governing the practice of mental health therapy in North Carolina including confidentiality, informed consent, and reporting requirements.
Excellent clinical assessment skills, including the ability to conduct thorough diagnostic interviews and develop comprehensive and individualized treatment plans tailored to clients' unique needs and goals.
Previous experience or a strong demonstrated interest in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field, with a willingness to develop and apply these skills in the context of mental health outreach.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
Proven creativity and the ability to develop engaging and informative content for various marketing platforms that resonates with target audiences.
Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating strong organizational and time-management skills.
Proficiency in using basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and the ability to learn and utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems and social media platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience developing and implementing marketing strategies within a healthcare or mental health setting.
Familiarity with local community resources and established relationships with community partners.
Experience managing social media accounts and creating visually appealing content. Knowledge of website content management systems.
