As a microfabrication technician at Axoft, you will be working with the Axoft microfabrication team to manufacture the softest neural probes in the world. This job will be on-site at Cambridge, MA.
Key qualifications:
- At least 2 years of wafer fabrication experience in an environment that requires thorough documentation of manufacturing processes.
- A bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering field. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Ability to remain focused while performing repetitive, delicate tasks such as wafer fabrication and electronics packaging.
- Attention to detail and ability to deliver reliable results in a timely manner, including thorough documentation.
- Solid understanding of semiconductor manufacturing techniques including lithography, etching, and thin film deposition.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with electronics packaging such as flip-chip bonding and wire-bonding.
- Experience with manufacturing in an environment governed by ISO-13485 or ISO-9001 standards.
- Experience with soft materials handling and patterning.
Your responsibilities:
· Perform wafer fabrication and electronics packaging to produce brain-computer interface devices.
· Report to microfabrication team lead about ongoing progress and discuss ongoing plans.
· Produce engineering documentation.
