Torch Technologies is seeking a talented Missile Defense Radar Quality Control (QC) Lead to join a well-established team in the Sensors Test, Analysis, Requirements and Simulations (STARS) Lab that supports the development, test, and fielding of missile defense radar systems.
- The selected candidate will work with real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) systems, tactical software & hardware, and all-digital representations of complex missile defense radars such as AN/TPY-2, AN/TPY-6, LRDR, SBX, UEWR, and CD.
- Common tasks for this position include providing QC of formal HWIL runs-for-record, developing and reviewing QC protocol and documentation, and overseeing QC-related activities across the STARS lab.
- This individual will also be responsible for providing QC support to the peer review process for deliverables and reviewing and witnessing operator run procedures.
Required Skills / Experience:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, or Computer Science from an accredited institution.
- 10+ years of experience with quality control and/or quality engineering for radar HWIL systems.
- Proficient in MS Windows Office tool suite.
- Ability to work effectively in team environments and independently.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Candidates with the following experience are preferred:
- Experience with AN/TPY-2, AN/TPY-6, LRDR, SBX, UEWR, and/or CD radar systems.
- Experience with other aspects of the Missile Defense System (MDS) and the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) including simulation frameworks such as OSF.
