Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for various technical tasks that support our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in fabrication, assembly, and machining. You will work closely with other team members to ensure that production goals are met efficiently and effectively.
Duties
- Fabricate components and assemblies according to specifications and engineering drawings.
- Experience with adjusting robot programs to ensure proper adjustment of positions, speeds and timers.
- The ability to troubleshoot auxiliary equipment such as blenders, mold and water temperature controllers, hot stampers, welders, baggers and stakers.
- Utilize hand tools and precision measuring instruments to ensure quality standards are met.
- Assemble products using various techniques, including plastics injection molding.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to implement Lean manufacturing principles for process improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues as they arise during production.
Experience
- Proven experience in machining, fabrication, or assembly within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing practices is a plus.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, machinery, and precision measuring instruments.
- Experience operating forklifts is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and schematics.
Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires:
Standing or sitting for an 8-hour shift.
Repetitive grasping, pinching, pushing and pulling with arms hands, occasionally simultaneously, with and without mechanical assisted devices.
Frequent transfer of objects and materials weighing up to 25 lbs.
Reaching above shoulder height to work, bending and stooping occasionally to work at different heights.
Safely mounting, dismounting and operating mobile equipment.
Moving from one area to another in the department around equipment, climb stairs, platforms and ladders.
