Position Overview
Drive Excellence as a Molten Metal Applications Technician
Your expertise in babbitting processes will be crucial. If you have the knack for handling molten metals, be part of our exceptional team and propel our manufacturing process to new heights.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Thorough cleaning and disassembly of fluid film bearings
- Effectively perform grit blasting
- Proficiently set up spin casting equipment
- Apply molten babbitt using either static or spin casting approaches
Qualifications We Value
- Experience in foundry or casting room tools
- Comprehension of ferrous versus non-ferrous material distinctions
- Proficient in Tig welding and fabrication techniques
- Ability in using acetylene torches and furnaces
- Expertise in operating overhead cranes
- Analytical prowess with strong problem-solving aptitude
- Superior communication and interpersonal proficiencies
- Self-starter with independent working abilities
- Efficient with drawings, process sheets, and routings
Workplace Environment
- Dynamic and hot indoor foundry conditions
- Regularly lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds
- Capability to stoop, bend, reach, crawl, stand, and navigate frequently
- Skilled at understanding and executing complex instructions
