Overview
The Head of School is ultimately responsible for the day-to-day operation of the school. The Head of School’s most important responsibility is to ensure that every student is supervised at all times by well-trained and qualified staff members, while ensuring that the school's operations and programs are consistent with the principles and practices of Montessori education. Additionally, the Head of School ensures the school complies with all pertinent regulations, earns the respect of peers, employees, parents, and must be a model of professionalism for parents, children, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Support and implement the school's mission, values, goals, and policies.
- Develop strategic plans to advance the school's mission and vision.
- Lead the development and implementation of the school's educational programs and curriculum.
- Supervise and support faculty and staff to enhance teaching effectiveness and student learning.
- Manage the school's budget, ensuring financial sustainability and responsible resource allocation.
- Leads the fundraising execution, cultivating donor relationships, and building strong alumni connections.
- Collaborate with the board to co-develop and communicate a strategic plan for the school's future, using data to inform decision-making and ensure buy-in.
- Foster relationships with students, parents, faculty, and the broader community to promote a collaborative educational environment.
- Maintain stability, continuity, and build upon the existing strengths of the institution while addressing complex challenges creatively and fairly.
- Ensure compliance with educational regulations and standards.
- Represent the school at various events, meetings, and conferences.
Requirements
- Montessori Certification with a deep understanding of the Montessori Philosophy.
- Bachelors Degree, Master's Degree preferred.
- Proven leadership experience, specifically in an Education Administration role.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills to manage the day-to-day operations of the school.
- Experience working directly with students in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff effectively while fostering a positive work culture.
- Strong skills in fundraising, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
