Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Mover to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting with the loading, unloading, and transportation of goods. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Provide excellent customer service during all interactions with clients.
- Load and unload items safely and efficiently from trucks and delivery vehicles.
- Operate box trucks and other delivery vehicles while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Navigate routes effectively to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Utilize equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks for moving heavy items.
- Assist in packing, wrapping, and securing items for transport.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and loading areas.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during moving processes.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service is highly desirable.
- Warehouse experience is a plus, particularly in loading/unloading operations.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving box trucks preferred.
- Delivery driver experience is beneficial for navigating routes efficiently.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and moving tasks.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts or pallet jacks is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
