Location:

GEICO is seeking a Multimedia Designer to support our communications team by concepting and delivering modern, high-quality visual content. We are looking for a professional with a strong design portfolio who can bring ideas to life using a creative, visual-first approach to support internal initiatives.
This role, which reports to the Manager of Editorial and Channels, will primarily support our internal and executive communications workstreams, with some deliverables created for external use.
Responsibilities
- Design graphics and multimedia assets for multiple employee communications channels including email, Slack, internal newsletters, and meetings. Deliverables will include infographics, intranet content, digital, presentation graphics, digital signage, posters, and more.
- Provide graphics support for town hall and PowerPoint presentations (creation of visuals, enhancement of existing visuals, visual storytelling, video ideation and creation).
- Contribute to brainstorming and ideation sessions to develop concepts that enhance employee communications through video and visual storytelling that engages and informs employees.
- Video production capabilities, including ideation, filming, and editing video assets for internal and external use.
- Execute visual concepts for GEICO’s employee newsletters and other employee communications specific to key business functions.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of graphic and visual design experience.
- Ability to own creative projects from concept through execution.
- Proven experience as a multimedia designer with a strong portfolio that includes samples ranging from graphics, video, infographics, email newsletters, and PowerPoint.
- Skilled in developing video concepts and editing videos.
- Ability to translate text and ideas into compelling, fresh graphics and video concepts.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere) and Microsoft applications, such as PowerPoint and SharePoint.
- Strong project management skills. Selected candidate needs to be able to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail, combined with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience supporting employee communications at a large company is preferred.
- Experience with web design and UI/UX as well as SharePoint or other intranet platforms is a plus.

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
